GET INVOLVED
Cultural Programs & Events
We actively organize vibrant festivals such as Chhath Puja, Durga Puja, and other cultural celebrations that honor the rich heritage of Bihar and Jharkhand. These events serve as platforms to showcase traditional music, dance, art, and customs, offering a vivid glimpse into the region’s cultural tapestry.

Advocacy & Policy Engagement
BAJAA believes that lasting community impact is achieved not only through cultural celebration but also through active participation in public dialogue and policy development. Our advocacy initiatives aim to represent the voices of ethnocultural communities, ensuring that their experiences and perspectives are reflected in decisions that shape Alberta’s future.
We work collaboratively with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community leaders to address issues of inclusion, equity, and social well-being. By engaging in consultations, policy discussions, and community forums, BAJAA seeks to influence policies that support multiculturalism, newcomer integration, and equitable opportunities for all.
Through continuous advocacy, research, and partnerships, we strive to strengthen the role of our community in civic life—building bridges that promote understanding, representation, and shared progress.

Community Support & Integration
We support new immigrants in Alberta by offering guidance, essential resources, and peer networks to help them navigate their new environment with confidence. Through workshops and information sessions, we provide practical insights into settlement, employment, education, and access to social services.
Education & Awareness
BAJAA is committed to strengthening community knowledge through accessible and meaningful learning opportunities. Our educational initiatives focus on preserving cultural heritage while helping individuals and families build the skills needed to thrive in Alberta.
We offer workshops, seminars, and community learning sessions on topics such as digital literacy, cultural education, community leadership, and climate awareness. These programs support youth, newcomers, and families in expanding their understanding of both cultural identity and the broader social landscape.
By promoting awareness and lifelong learning, BAJAA aims to empower community members, encourage informed participation, and foster a stronger sense of belonging within Alberta’s multicultural environment.
