Our  Vision

History

The Bihar and Jharkhand Association of Alberta (BAJAA) was founded in 2023 with the vision of creating a dedicated platform for individuals and families from Bihar and Jharkhand who have made Calgary and Alberta their home. Recognizing the need for a formal community body, a group of passionate community members came together to establish BAJAA as a registered organization.

Since its inception, BAJAA has focused on preserving cultural traditions, celebrating festivals, and supporting the social and educational growth of its members. While the organization began with the aim of serving the Bihar and Jharkhand diaspora, it has always embraced inclusivity, extending its programs and initiatives to all communities.

In a short span of time, BAJAA has grown into an active and recognized community organization, known for its cultural events, advocacy efforts, and contributions to Alberta’s diverse multicultural landscape.
